Local Utility Truck Driver Job – Tolleson, Arizona

Tolleson, AZ – Local Utility

Make Gains – Starting pay at $23.25/hr

Driver Pay Rates

  • Paid by the hour: Starting at $23.25/hr
  • Daily minimum pay when in training

Benefits & Bonuses

  • Full benefits after 60 days with company
  • Rider policy qualification after 90 days with required company approval
  • Simplified Orientation: Starts online and concludes at your local terminal

Up to a $3,100 bonus per driver referral:

  • $50 every week of your referred driver’s first year
  • $500 bonus when your referred driver hits 3-months

Work & Route

  • Daily Home Time
  • Work day: Various as needed 7 days a week
  • Hiring Area: Phoenix Metro and surrounding areas within 30 miles of Tolleson
  • Hours of operation: Various as needed 24hrs, primarily evening and early morning hours
  • Running Region: Various local refrigerated deliveries. Dispatched out of Tolleson Terminal
  • Tanker Endorsement is required within 30 days of employment
  • Cattle experience is a plus but not required

Work Details:

  • Follow all directions given of the load dispatch schedule via a hard copy, conversation with the transportation dispatch or lead driver by phone text, conversation or email distribution.
  • Manage loads to ensure equipment is loaded legally from a weight and safety standpoint.
  • Coordinate all load information with the JBS Transportation Dispatcher or Lead driver.
  • Keep an accurate FMCSA driver’s log.
  • Perform pre and post trip inspections daily.
  • Handle all loads and equipment in such a manner to keep free of damage and freight claims.
  • Follow all the FMCSA guidelines and company policy. Always work together with co-workers to keep everyone efficient and safe.

Requirements

  • At least 21 years old
  • CDL-A with 1 year of tractor trailer experience
  • Must have 53′ tractor trailer experience
  • Mentor and Training programs are available for drivers with less than a year of experience
