Bay & Bay Transportation Raises Independent Contractor Pay

Eagan, MN – Bay & Bay is proud to announce a new Independent Contractor (IC) pay package that will increase the earning potential of all current Independent Contractors. This new pay package signals to prospective Independent Contractors that Bay & Bay is committed to its drivers and cares about their earning potential.

This best in class pay package is available for all IC’s who operate in our over-the-road (OTR) refrigerated trucking division and will be effective after April 1, 2017.

The following is a description of the new pay package:

Mileage Bands Pay

Loaded Mileage Pay $/mile
0-150 miles: 1.27
151-250 miles: 1.17
251-300 miles: 1.07
301 + miles: 0.97
Empty Mile Pay $/mile
All empty miles: 0.90
Fuel Surcharge Pay $/mile
Paid based off DOE Variable

We have made a significant business change in the last 12 months and we needed to re-align our compensation to meet the demands of the business.
