Truck Drivers of trucks with a gross vehicle weight over 26,000 pounds, or who drive a vehicle carrying over-sized loads or hazardous materials, must hold a commercial driver’s license (CDL). Training is provided at both private and public vocational schools. Drivers of all other trucks need a standard driver’s license.
