Class A Truck Driver Job Description
Class A drivers operate large tractor trailers (also known as big rig’s) and can haul freight up to 80,000 pounds. Possessing a Class A will allow you to haul the most types of freight. To be a CDL-A driver, you must complete a professional truck driver training program to obtain your commercial drivers license. The basic operations of a CDL-A driver includes planning routes, meeting delivery schedules, loading or unloading cargo, keeping daily logs and maintaining equipment to pass inspections.
